Food
STARTERS
63° Marans hen egg, peas, pancetta, baby onions & golden chanterelles – 8/10
The starter I chose 63° Marans hen egg, peas, pancetta, baby onions & golden chanterelles was delicious. The egg was amazing, being slow cooked, the egg yolk was very runny, at the same time the egg whites was set. It looked so fragile and pretty, I had to poke the egg yolk with my eyes closed. The pancetta was salty, however the egg neutralise the saltiness making the whole dish harmonic. Simply divine
Seafood platters – 8/10
At the other end of the table, our friends ordered the Seafood Platter. It was gigantic being only two tier tall. each tier was crowdy, with all sorts of seafood packed onto it. I had a few mussels and clams which was fresh and sweet. delicious..

800gr Cote de boeuf- 6/10
We ordered two portion of 800gr Cote de boeuf, we were sharing between three people, and there were more than enough. Maybe it wasn’t that good. The beef wasn’t prime and it wasn’t cooked correctly. We ordered it to be medium cooked, however it was overcooked. The meat was tough and dry.
SIDE
Pommes frites – N/A
Wilted young spinach – 8/10
Gratin dauphinois – 10/10
We loved the Gratin dauphinois the most out of the three sides. It was perfectly made although it was steaming hot and I managed to burn my lips. It was so creamy, I couldn’t stop eating it.
DRINKS
Present – all £12.50
FRESH AS DAISY
Hendricks Gin shaken with muddled cucumber, elderflower liquor, apple juice and mint served long over ice. Refreshing!
I’m a slave for Elderflower, I’ll drink anything with it in, so I couldn’t resist this cocktail. It was refreshing yet flowery, however it lacked alcohol and too much ice.
Ambience & Interior
We were led to the bar at the ground floor before we were seated at the dining area. Just like all the other restaurants in mayfair, it was glamourous, however it wasn’t too pretentious as it had a very loyd atmosphere. Dining area is situated downstairs and you will need to walk down a sweeping staircase, so do watch out if you are in high heels or long cocktail dress. Quaglino is glamourous however it lacked luxury and class, even though the food was pricey.

Quaglino was good, but not fabulous. It lacked personality and the menu was boring, although they are good at what they do, and the atmosphere was good for celebrations and to feel glamourous. There are room for improvements however Quaglino is unique and it is above average, but just not my cup of tea.
