House Made Ricotta with Cranberry, Olive Oil and Grilled Bread – 10/10
This was simply amazing. i didn’t know what to expect when I ordered, but within the first second after I dipped the crispy warm bread into the smooth ricotta, I know I did not regret ordering this. The ricotta mixture was extremely creamy and was beautifully paired with the cranberry puree. Despite that i wasn’t too please the dish only came with three little pieces of bread which obviously wasn’t enough, not to mention the bread served was sourdough and it crispy warm!
Main
Crispy Skin Chicken, Braised Potatoes with Lemon, Golden Onion, Green Chilli and Herbs – 9/10
The name of the dish was rather boring you don’t think? Never in this world did I think it would turn out to be such a delicious dish. The portion was extremely large for a Michelin star restaurant and it definitely filled me up. The chicken skin was crispy, yet the chicken meat was tender. The potatoes was slightly mushy, however the herbs goes so well with all the herbs and onion. Delicious.
Dessert
House Made Mascarpone, Mulled Wine Poached Pear and Ginger Granit – 4/10
The only let down was the dessert unfortunately, and it was also the only dish I didn’t lick clean my plate. I have never been a fan of poached pear and the ginger was too strong and dominated the whole dish. Despite that the home made mascarpone was absolutely adorable, can eat a whole bowl of this.

Verdict
I stopped going out for Italian Food for a long time as they all seem to serve the same food, it did not surprise me anymore. However Mercato is very different to the other Italian restaurants I have been. The dishes are top notch standard and the restaurant is beautifully designed. I would go back just for the ricotta starter!
